ARTICLE 15..The stark reality
Article 15 is yet again a hard hitting movie unveiling the naked truth of the pathetic primitive status of our society even today.
The movie has truthfully and realistically portrayed the ailments India is suffering with,mainly the persistence of discrimination on basis of caste and using human for menial subhuman jobs
The complex situation of exploitation,maltreatment,
The organized efforts of the entire socio government machinery to swipe these incidents under the carpet under the so called name of social balance and system is pathetic
Direction is superb and so is the acting of all characters. Anshuman Khurana has once again displayed his histrionic abilities and has fitted in the role of a young IPS officer very well. The dim lighted effect to highlight the gloomy situation and the powerful yet simple dialogues have made a great impact.
The movie reminded me of Nishant…made over four decades back…more so one of the scenes towards the end where a scheduled caste constable slaps a thakur police officer.This is very similar to the ending of Nishant where Shabana Azmi..the sexually exploited wife of a dalit,throws a stone at the haveli of the landlord.
Its tragic that we need to make a movie on similar issues even after four decades and it stands true even today…so much for the do called progress we have supposedly made and the Shining India image we reflect
No Agni missions,moon capturing or multi trillion economy status is worth it till be provide a safe environment for all Indians to live peacefully and respectfully without fear of assault and insult.
May the loud screams of the mute sufferings of the oppressed dalits and underprivileged reach the deaf ears of the powers to be and the monster of this discrimination on caste system dwarfs the claimed shining glory of the country
The movie is a MUST SEE ..not only for all cine viewers bit for every Indian ..and in fact should be shown in all schools,offices ,public places ,offices and institutes
Luckily the movie ended on a positive promising note and hope this spreads from Lalgunj on screen to the entire country,in reality
